Patriot among KBB picks of 2013 cars that'll cost least over 5 years

Auto shopping and pricing site KBB.com today released its annual list of 2013 model cars and trucks that it forecasts will be the cheapest for you to own over the first five years, including the Jeep_® Patriot. The Patriot was named to the 2013 5-year cost to own winners list in the compact crossover/SUV category, the paper said. The winners are picked based on Kelley Blue Book data that includes initial cost, depreciation, expected fuel costs, financing and insurance, maintenance and repairs and state fees for new vehicles, the article said. KBB says that smart car buyers will consider such ownership costs, beyond just looking at the bottom line for the purchase, USA Today said.
